What is OptiSettings?
OptiSettings is a free, hardware-matched PC game settings optimizer. Instead of copying a generic "Ultra" preset from a video and watching your framerate drop, you enter your exact GPU, CPU, RAM, and resolution — and we calculate the optimal graphics configuration for the game you want to play.
Every recommendation is generated by a deterministic engine that accounts for GPU raster performance tier, CPU thread throughput, memory bandwidth constraints, storage I/O characteristics, and the specific rendering workload of each supported game.
Why we built this
Most gamers spend hours tweaking settings manually, watching third-party YouTube videos that target specific hardware, or blindly applying Reddit guides that were written for a different GPU generation. OptiSettings was built to eliminate that friction.
We believe that getting good performance from your PC should not require a computer science degree or three hours of research. You spent money on your hardware — you should be able to get the best out of it in minutes.
Accuracy-first
FPS estimates are clearly labelled as estimates and calibrated against publicly available benchmark data across multiple sources.
Hardware-aware
We cover 85+ GPUs and 50+ CPUs. The engine accounts for VRAM limits, upscaling technology support, and CPU bottleneck thresholds.
No account required
The optimizer is fully usable without creating an account. Your hardware specs stay in your browser — nothing is stored server-side.
Our approach to data
OptiSettings does not run its own GPU testing lab. Performance scores and FPS estimates are derived from publicly available benchmark data including Digital Foundry analyses, community benchmark databases, and manufacturer-published specifications. We combine this data into a calibrated scoring model and apply it deterministically based on your hardware.
Because hardware behavior varies depending on drivers, game patches, thermal conditions, and system configuration, all FPS values displayed are clearly marked as estimated. We never present projections as guaranteed outcomes.
